Hi guys, i have a peuget 307 2002 model with the 5 stacker cd player. About two weeks ago i put in a few burnt cd's, all was well until today when it stopped playing!(sound stopped) the screen saids its still playing( by counting the seconds on each song) but no sound comes out. When i flick to radio, the sound id fine it still works but cd's, nothing comes ut at all. Does anyone have the same problem or even better a solution?called peugoet they said it was going to cost $1,500 to fix.
Any othe ideas? Please help finlay. I have a similar problem. I bought the car back in march a 51 plate the cd player did not work. I bought one from ebay and had it put in by my local garage and it has been working well for a week but today I put in a cd that i burnt myself and it said it was playing but no sound and the same the radio is fine.
I also can not get the cd's back out. The numbers from 1-5 are all flashing, so I think that it has broken again. Dont fancy going to a peugeot garage as it will cost a lot of money.

1 Answer SOURCE: I had the same problem with my 2002 307SW. I read on another forum to switch ignition off, remove CD changer from dash and disconnect. It then told me to remove the lid from the case unscrewing the screws marke 1 to 5 then remove the Cd's. The only problem with this is you need a special size 'star' driver bit which i did not have at home and could not unscrew them. What i did was to use a terminal screwdriver in the 2 larger screws that fasten the front plastic cover on the unit.
Once I had done that I could remove the CD's. I then connected the changer back up and inserted it back into the dash. I then powered the radio back up anf loaded a CD and the problem had gone away so I loaded the 5 CD slots and everything works fine now. If your car is before or early 2004 you will need the IDC-A09 blaupunkt in dash changer, which should just plug in and work straight away.
However, If your car is later 2004 onwards you will need the IDC-A04 Blaupunkt changer which will plug in and power up, but will not work properly untill you go to a peugeot dealer and they hook up some diagnostic software to tell the car a changer has been added. Both the IDC-A04 and A09 changers look identical. I would say that you got the wrong changer, as the IDC-A09 changers in pre/early 2004 should just plug in and work. Remember: Pre 2004 cars need IDC-A09 (plug and play) and Post 2004 cars need IDC-A04 changer (get pug dealer to reprogram cars computer).its a costly mistake if you bought the wrong one!

There are a few variations of this model eg; IDCA09,IDCA04,Fiat & aftermarket units. As already stated these models do suffer from mechanism faults quite a lot. This is due mostly to the complexity of the mechanics. The flashing lights are a classic symptom of a jammed or broken part of the mechanism. They can however be repaired by certain car audio repair centres here in the UK.I'm afraid unless you know what you're doing then just by stripping the mechanism down is unlikely to cure the faults than can occur.

I have similar problem from my 2002 PUG 307.with the Blaupunkt Took the CD changer out and put a pocket into the slot to sell the car. Javed ghamidi lectures. As I was told by the Blaupunkts Australian tech helpline they exchange only not repair this model, when I asked for price he said aprx guide was $500 AUD, insane! Then I called a wrecking yard and got quoted $199 AUD for one out of a 2005- 307. These units are notorious for problems after speaking to my Pug service centre. Hubby has bought a used Peugeot 307 (53 plate) with a Blaupunkt CD changer with 5 slots - it is the correct model for the car. However the cd player was broken. We have bought a second hand one but it won't play. There were no instructions with the car or anything suggesting a code should be keyed in.
5 Disc Cd Changer For Car
It will accept a cd but when he presses the source button it doesn't play and stays on the radio. It doesn't ask for a code on the main display in the car. Someone has suggested it needs 'pairing up', whatever that means. I would have expected it to need a code but would also have expected it to say so Any ideas please??? Does anyone have one of these and at least knows if there should be a code? - that would be a start!!
